Her passion for working with children of diverse abilities blossomed during her volunteer work at an after-school health promotion program, where she supported children in developing literacy, numeracy, and healthy living skills. Additionally, she dedicated her time to volunteering at children’s hospitals, striving to improve accessibility and participation in recreational events for children with a range of complex neurological and orthopaedic conditions. During her final clinical internship at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, Michelle developed skills to help children with acquired brain injuries achieve early developmental milestones, gross motor skills, and motor planning. Through these experiences, she uncovered her genuine passion for paediatric physiotherapy and the integration of creative, play-based activities.
